Wrestlers dominate

Such was their dominance, that the Indian wrestlers won as many 40 medals, including 15 gold in the three-day event which concluded on Sunday.

In the freestyle category, Rahul Aware (55kg), Rajneesh (60kg), Amit Kumar (66kg), Pawan Kumar (84kg) and Mausam Khattri (96kg) bagged gold while Rahul Mann (60kg), Pradeep (66kg), Nar Singh Yadav (74kg), Naresh Kumar (84kg), Varun Kumar (96kg) and Naveen Mor (120kg) settled for silver medals.

The bronze medals in the freestyle division went to Paramjeet (74kg) and Rajiv Tomar (120kg). Among greco-roman wrestlers, Rajender Kumar (55kg), Anil Kumar (60kg), Sunil Kumar (66kg), Manoj Kumar (84kg) and Anil Kumar (96kg) won gold while the silver medals went to Joginder Singh (55kg), Ravinder Singh (60kg), Sandeep Yadav (66kg), Rajbir Chikara (74kg), Kulwant Rai (84kg), Ashok Kumar (96kg) and Dharmender Dalal (120kg).
