<p>Manjunath (24), Kempanna (51) and Ratnamma (45) all from Adugodi, Palani Kumar (20) Dairy Colony, and L Balakrishna (38), Basavanapura, are the arrested.<br /><br />According to the police, Ananthu had married Kavitha, daughter of Kempanna and Ratnamma in 2007. Differences cropped up between the couple soon after the wedding and they sought divorce. <br /><br />Kempanna and Ratnamma allegedly attempted to attack Ananthu with acid in Talaghattapura in 2009. They were imprisoned for the crime, but were out on bail, added the police.<br /><br />They hatched a conspiracy to murder Ananthu and attacked him with lethal weapons on August 1 when he was walking along the Sai Baba Temple Road at Konankunte, it is said. A severely injured Ananthu was rushed to Sairam hospital where he is recovering. </p>.<p>The police arrested his attackers on Thursday.<br /><br /></p>
