CEO asks officials to prepare 10-year-plan

Asking all ZP officials to prepare an action plan for various projects to be implemented in DK for the next 10 years, he said that the integrated action plan will help in effective execution of programmes hence leading to overall development. The vision document will also ensure that benefits by the government will reach its beneficiaries especially the people from rural areas and backward communities, he said.

Warning strict action against officials who are negligent in their work, he said all money sanctioned to the departments should be utilised in development work. Public grievances by letters, telephones and even in the newspaper should be taken seriously. The officials should be people-friendly, he added.

The CEO also stressed on developing infrastructure, education and tapping district’s tourism potential.

Absentees

Attendance was taken by the CEO at the commencement of the meeting. Regretting that only 78 of 126 officials were present for the previous KDP meet and only 92 for the present meet, he said that all officials should be compulsorily attend the KDP meet.

He also directed that a show cause notice should be sent to the absentees and the department heads should be informed about the officials remaining absent.
The CEO also pointed out that the Ambedkar Nigam and Nimriti Kendras are inviting severe criticism.

Even though the revenue department has allotted 285 acres of land for the Ashraya and Ambedkar houses, the tahsildars of all five taluks have not responded in time.
When the Executive officers complained that a lot of time is wasted in demarcating the land, Standing Committee President Ishwar Kateel responded strongly saying that it is heard the work is done only if bribe is given.

Dr Amedkar Corporation received severe criticism as it failed to prepare an action plan for the various schemes to be implemented. The self employment scheme, Ganga Kalyana scheme and various others under the corporation have not been executed, he said.The officials of the Ambedkar Corporation are on a non-sanctioned leave from July 28.

Even the field workers don’t work properly, he complained and said that this would be the last warning he is giving to the corporation and serious action will be taken if they fail to implement the work effectively.The Nimriti Kendra has taken money to construct 15 Anganawadis and has not completed the work.

They should immediately submit a report on the work progress, he said and added that such kind of careless attitude won’t be tolerated.ZP President Shailaja Bhat, Vice President Dhanalakshmi Janardhan, Standing Committee Presidents Janardhan Gowda, Ishwar Kaeel and Deputy Secretary Shivrame Gowda were present.
