Around 600 students signed their names on a poster which declared solidarity with the Anna Hazare’s campaign against corruption. “We will take the poster with us, when we cycle to Freedom Park on Tuesday,” said Pankaj Jain, a student of integrated PhD in Molecular Biophysics department.
Amogh Kinikar, one of the two undergraduate students who made the poster, believed that IISc should come forward for the cause and look beyond science.
“The response for the signature campaign was overwhelming,” he said. The students switched off lights for an hour from 8 pm as a mark of their support.
At the Indian Institute of Management, first-year students performed a streetplay titled ‘Aham Brahmasmi’ which conveyed the message that no religion promotes communal disharmony.
