During an inspection at Kasturi Nagar, Dayananda Nagar, Krishnaiahanapalya and Benniganahalli under CV Raman Nagar sub-division, Siddaiah was impressed with the good work by the engineers. They had nicely built brick-on-edge around trees and implemented rainwater harvest in parks.

He directed the executive engineer to carry out similar works in all the playgrounds, parks and vacant places. Besides, Siddaiah asked him to encourage educational institutions, spread in more than one acre of land, to set up rainwater harvesting structures.

Army Commandant of Madras Engineering Group agreed to plant at least 6,000 saplings in their sprawling premises spread in 600 acres, following an appeal by Siddaiah. The Commissioner promised him to provide saplings from the Palike.

During the inspection, owner of Nilgiri Bakery incurred Siddaiah’s wrath for dumping plastic in the brick-on-edge and was fined Rs 25,000.
