Rules of adoption

The Commission found that there were 23 orphaned children below the age of three. The authorities at the hostel informed the Commission that there was a provision to adopt children below six years.

Besides, girl children above six years were sent to hostels, where they were provided education, training in computers and various skills.

‘Appoint a cook’

Taking note of the absence of a cook at the women’s hostel and the fact that the inmates are doing the job, the Commission directed the authorities to employ one at the earliest.
It also recommended immediate appointment of staff to manage the hostel and a policewoman to guard the hostel.
