The island, in the dappling blue waves of Arabian Sea, a five acre land with dense under growth covered with coconut palms and green bushes is a beautiful sight from the beach. The group of migrating birds from far away places makes it a sojourn point in their itinerry.
In fact, it is located just one km away from the mainland at Dharmadam beach, adjacent to the Muzhapilangad beach with cliffs in the Arabian Sea and is accessible by boat.

While the waves break violently against the craggy shore line, the strong under currents make it difficult to reach there. However, one can visit the place during non-rainy season through the shallow waters. The island is cosseted by natural rocks belt from the burly waves and presently, it is protected by the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC).
During the dusk, many people come here to have the beauty of the reddish sun that tranquilizes one’s mind heart while the sunset ignites new thoughts ineveryone.
Nature is in perfect harmony here. It is beauty and the serenity of the spot which holds a visitor spellbound.

A visitor will have the vivid rhythm of nature in his valise when he veers to this verdant and virgin island.
