The judges – eminent photographers A K Raju and SS Chandra Shekar – lauded the winning entries for their excellent technique, lighting, and perspective.
As many as 176 photographs were submitted by 42 photographers. Most entries were received from Bangalore, followed by Mysore, Davangere, Bidar, Bagalkot, Kundapura, Mangalore and other districts.
The contest was limited to young photographers below 35 years. The awards will be given away at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Race Course Road on August 29.
