Srinivas was a close aide of notorious rowdy Jedarahalli Krishna. He was involved in 12 cases including a murder. However, he reformed himself after coming out of prison and ventured into real estate business. Police said he suffered losses in his business and was in heavy debt.
He was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his Srinagar residence on 9th Main Road. The incident came to light when Srinivas’ wife and children returned home from a temple.
In a death note he has stated that no one was responsible for his death, police said.
