He was speaking at the inauguration of a pratibha puraskar programme to felicitate toppers of SSLC and PUC exams organised at the Chikkamaniketana Kalyana Mantapa here on Sunday.

In jail
Vishwanath said people are observing those involved in corruption and going to jail. The time isn’t far when many people from a family were locked in jail, he added. There are both political and caste-based forces working to shun talent.

Whenever such opposition takes place against talented people, there is a need to stand up against injustice, he said.

Centre stage
UIDAI deputy director general Ashok Dalvoy said youth are taking the centre stage in the fight against corruption led by Anna Hazare.  He appreciated the initiative taken by youngsters to participate in the fight against corruption.

Retired police officer Kempaiah, Seer Sri Shivanandapuri of Kaganele Mahasamsthana Kanakagurupeetha , MLC C H Vijayashankar, former MLA M K Somashekar, Visvesvaraya Technological University registrar G N Krishnamurthy, mayor Pushpalatha Chikkanna, zilla panchayat members Maruthi, Revamma Maalegowda, Patel Javaregowda and others were present.
