Valveman denied salary for 11 months

Nagesh has been denied salary for the last 11 months, they alleged. Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, union president S Shanthappa said that Lokesh was earlier serving at the Yaraganahalli Seva Kendra. He was transferred from Yaraganahalli to Vani Vilasa Water Works on October 19, 1998. After he started working, Lokesh was denied salary for a period of six months from June to November.

An inquiry was held and Lokesh was to receive Rs 38,000 as salary. However, corporation executive engineer and Vani Vilasa Water Works is yet to deposit the money in Lokesh’s account. Meanwhile, he was denied salary of Rs 27,250 again from March to July 2011.

The union has decided to stage a protest in front of the deputy commissioner’s office on September 7 demanding the payment of arrears to Lokesh. Union vice-president Munawar Ahmad, treasurer Shantharaju, leaders D K Kenchappa and Lokesh were present.
