Despite the Parliament passing the Indian Medical Council (amendment) act –with the Rajya Sabha being the latest to do so on Monday – parliament members were heavily critical of the government’s attempt to take the ordinance route to control Medical Council of India (MCI) following the CBI’s arrest of its President Ketan Desai.
