Speaking after launching a website at the valedictory of state-level Judicial Officers’ Review meet here on Sunday the CJI said that a lot of defenders try to delay justice delivery as they would be benefited by dragging the case.
He called upon advocates to treat the witnesses with respect and rescue them whenever the defence lawyer attempts to abuse them.
The newly inaugurated website will have information about all the cases and trials in Karnataka and details will be updated as and when the cases are disposed.
High Court Chief Justice P D Dinakaran, High Court Judge Justice V Gopala Gowda and Justice Manjula Chellur were present on the occasion.
