JOIN US A woman allegedly set herself ablaze after quarrelling with her husband over a petty issue at Parappana Agrahara on Monday. Pramila, 26, a resident of Gaurishettypalya, picked a quarrel with Sudhir who, in a fit of rage, walked out on her, taking their three-and-a-half-year-old daughter along.
According to police, Pramila called her relatives and told them she was committing suicide. She then took a can of kerosene and headed towards a lake at Dodda Nagamangala, where she immolated herself.
Passersby noticed the charred body and informed the police. Pramila, a housekeeper at a paying guest accommodation, had married Sudhir four years ago. Sudhir is a supervisor at a building site. Originally from Tiptur in Tumkur district, the couple settled in Bangalore four years ago.
