Instant detection of swine flu through kit

Speaking to reporters during a BJP campaign programme in Kollegal on Sunday, he said the kit would be obtained after the by-polls. The kit will help to detect the H1N1 virus from the breath in 10-15 minutes, the minister said.

As many as 81 cases of H1N1 have been confirmed in the State. The testing centres have been set up at ports and airports to detect the virus in passengers and at least 1.5 lakh passengers have been tested till now. Since only Bangalore and Mangalore have testing centres it was difficult to determine the cases from other places.
