2 Beary novels released

He was speaking at a programme organised by Karnataka Beary Sahithya Academy here on Sunday to release two Beary novels – ‘Tharavad’ of U A Kasim Ullal and ‘Nando Raya Nando Samskriti’ of T A Aliyabba.

Dr Ismail said both the literary pieces have contributed to the growth of Beary litearture.
Speaking on ‘Tharavad,’ he said the novel highlights history of Beary community and lavish expenditure made during marriages by the community members.

Speaking on ‘Nando Raya Nando Samskriti,’ he said there is a confrontation of culture and civilisation in the book. The development process in a vil lage has been presented well.

Writer Ismath Pajeer said ‘Tharavad’ has highlighted the forgotten Beary culture and has recoined several words which have been forgotten by the generation. Karnataka Beary Sahithya Academy President M B Abdul Rahman presided. Academy Registrar Umarabba gave an introductory remarks.
