<p>Anand, 45, a tailor, allegedly killed Padmamma, 42, worker at a garment factory, with a machete and tried to stab himself.<br /><br />Police said Anand had married Nagaratnamma, 42, from Nelamangala and had three daughters from her. He developed an affair with Padmamma, who had parted ways with her husband. Padmamma, a mother of two sons lived in Chikkabanalli Colony in Kadugodi. She had quit the job six months ago, the police said.<br /><br />After Anand started living with Padmamma, Nagarantamma separated from him. On Monday, Anand and Padmamma quarrelled over a trivial issue and went to bed after having alcohol, the police added.</p>.<p>Anand, under the influence of alcohol, hacked her with a machete and beheaded her. Later, he stabbed himself. A local BJP leader, Vasanthamma, who noticed him lying in a pool of blood, alerted the police. In an inebriated state, they picked up a quarrel. Chaluvaraju stabbed Basavaraju at a desolate place behind Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple and fled, the police said.<br /><br />The passersby, who noticed his body on Tuesday morning, alerted the police.
