Experimentation phase of my career is over, says John

John, who gained recognition playing an alcoholic lawyer in 'Jism' and continued with roles like a thief in 'Dhoom', a journalist in 'Kabul Express', a photographer in 'Dostana', a drug-addict singer in 'Saat Khoon Maaf', says his upcoming film 'Force' is full-on masala entertainer.

"I am not dependent on any films. I try to experiment with roles, like I did in 'Kabul Express', 'Jhootha Hee Sahi' and others. 'Force' is my first commercial masala movie, hope it does well. It is very interesting film," John said here.

"People used to tell me to do commercial films but I like experimenting and so I continued with it. All new directors come to me as they know I will take up risk. I know experiments are more prone to failure at times. 'Force' is not an experiment. With `Force', the experimentation phase is over."

'Force' is a remake of the Tamil film 'Khaka Khaka'. It is directed by Nishikant Kamath and stars John and Genelia D'Souza.

"'Force' will be an entertaining film. It has every element, be it comedy, action, romance, drama. I feel comedy is the safest bet. These days action films are doing well. I hope my film does a decent business. I hope the film gets appreciated," John said.

About the co-star Genelia, he said, "She is a chirpy and bubbly person. This is the first film where she would look sensuous and beautiful." 'Force' is set to release on September 30.

After 'Force', John would be seen in a comic flick with Akshay Kumar in 'Desi Boyz' and 'Housefull 2', and in 'Race 2' with Saif. Also in the pipeline are 'Shootout at Wadala' and 'I, Me Aur Main'.

On his relationship status, John said, "I would like to say that I am single. I am not married...I am happy."

John was in a relationship with actress Bipasha Basu since 2002, they officially broke up this year.
