Three girls drown

The dead are identified as Sunita Rathod, Seetabai Rathod and Shamabai Gadivaddar. All the three worked at a stone quarry near Shahabad.

According to police, they had been to the pond to wash clothes when Sunita accidently fell into the pond. In a bid to save her, the other two girls also jumped.

However, all the three drowned.

Sunita and Seetabai were from Revuru tanda while Shamabai was from Navaluru in Maharashtra.
