S P Balasubramaniam, Raghu Dixit to perform at Mandya Dasara

Dasara procession will begin from Kirangur Bannimantap with the idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari being taken out amidst pomp and gaiety. Over 40 performing troupes, police bands and other artistes will enthral the citizens with their performances.
District administration is all set to host musical nite with Dr S P Balasubramaniam singing to entertain the crowd. Assistant commissioner of Pandavapura G Prabhu informed the meeting about the entertainment programme planned.

Soorya troupe members will perform opera, audience will be treated to a laughter fest, top-of-the-order theatre productions staged by Mandya Ramesh and Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar, and singer Raghu Dixit will engage the audience for an evening, during the days of festivities.

MLA A B Ramesh sought better facilities such as drinking water and sanitation for visiting crowds and tourists.

The meeting presided over by Dr P C Jaffer was attended by MLA M Srinivas, MLC Ashwathanarayana, ZP CEO G Jayaram, assistant commissioner Rangappa, District Industries Centre Joint Director Sujnana Murthy, Youth Services director Dr Manjula, tahsildars Rajendra Prasad, Arul Kumar, Shivananda Murthy and others.
