JOIN US“Sonia Gandhi’s love for Dalits is nothing but a fraud, whatever she is doing among Dalits in Rae Bareli is an eye wash,” a BSP spokesperson said here on Wednesday.
“Till now, Sonia’s son was doing it (visiting Dalit households), but now Sonia Gandhi has joined him,” he went on to say.
Alleging that Sonia Gandhi was “misleading and befooling” the Dalits, the spokesperson added: “If she had any real love for Dalits, she would have provided special packages and schemes for the economic development of Dalits of the area.”
He also alleged that though members of the Gandhi family became prime ministers after being elected from Rae Bareli and Amethi, no significant changes had taken place among the poor and scheduled caste people of the area.
Sonia Gandhi, who is currently on a three-day visit to Rae Bareli, her Lok Sabha constituency, has been visiting Dalit-dominated villages and holding meetings with them to know about their problems.
Both Sonia and Rahul have been flooded with complaints of irregularities in the implementation of NREGS and other central schemes.
Rahul has also accused the BSP government of not properly implementing the NREGS and other central schemes.
The state Congress leaders and party workers have been demanding that the Centre should directly implement the centrally-sponsored schemes in the state.
