It offers a prize money of Rs one lakh to the winner and Rs 50,000 to the runner-up, Kasi Viswanathan, Secretary, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, said in statement.
Sixteen teams have been divided in to four groups and the winner of each group progresses to the semifinal.
Groupings: Group A: TNCA XI, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh. Group B: New Zealand A, Andhra, Tamil Nadu Districts XI, Baroda. Group C: Karnataka, TNCA President’s XI, Vidarbha, Mumbai. Group D: Saurashtra, Hyderabad, Kerala, Orissa.
