Be it riding a car that is going to turn turtle soon, or crashing into a glass door, or having insects all over your face, the show makes the participants do all this and more before crowning the fearless queen!

If you still have not got it, we are talking about Fear Factor level 2 on Colors. The show, riding on its huge success last year, is back with the second series this time. The locales are the same — breathtaking places in South Africa, and so is the host — Akshay Kumar. And the broadcaster — Colors — is banking heavily on this show to provide them with just enough GRPs to edge out Star Plus and consolidate its position as the numero uno of general entertainment channels.

This time the list of participants include a virtual who’s who of the femme fatal brigade in India — Bruna Abdullah, Sushma Reddy, Carol Gracias, Jesse Randhawa, Mandira Bedi, Nauheed Cyrusi, Rosa Catalano, Rupali Ganguly, Sonika Kaliraman, Shonali Nagrani, Pia Trivedi, Shveta Salve and Anushkha Manchanda. Seeing them perform such acts of bravery will definitely help the Indian male’s imagination run amock!

Each participant has taken their role quite seriously and prepared for the show. Explains Shonali Nagrani, “This is a show that tests your mental and physical strength. To ensure that I have the physical fitness to participate in this show, I went through two months of physical fitness training. But I must admit that was not enough to imagine crawlers all over your face. I really had to gather all my mental strength to imagine and survive through such a stunt.”

Says Ashvini Yardi, head of programming for Colors, “The first series of this show had shattered all preconceived notions of fear and turned 13 glam dolls into daredevils. The second season will take viewers’ experience to the next level. India better be ready for a never-before-felt adrenaline shot!”

Akshay Kumar, like in Season One, will not just be an anchor. He will be a guide as well. In fact, he will be performing all the stunts first and showing the participants how to do it. Only after that will the contest start. The broadcasters are banking on Akshay to bail them out, like last year where he turned to be the major attraction of the show.

Going by the reactions of the participants, this year is not going to be any different. Says Pia Trivedi, famous model and VJ, “It really is an amazing experience to work with Akshay. He is so good looking even today,” confesses Pia with a smile. “Jokes apart, he has been so supportive that without his constant encouragement and support I do not think anyone of us could have managed the stunts.”

Adds Anushka Manchanda, “Frankly, when I signed up for the show, I did not expect him to be so involved and perform every stunt himself.”

“Akshay was a fabulous host. In fact, I feel he is better off screen than on-screen. He gave all of us nicknames. I was called Nanny, Mandira was Bedi Saab, Carol was Kaushalya, Shonali Shastriji and so on. It was really creditable of him to pull off the show singlehandedly,” says actress Nauheed Cyrusi.

Catch up with Akshay Kumar and his stunts with 13 femme fatales on Colors soon.
