The district administration and Health Department have taken adequate precautionary measures and the situation is under control. There is no reason for people to panic,” she said.

The minister said that the district has adequate stock of masks and medicines to treat the patients. Sufficient beds have been reserved at various hospitals to treat the patients. Officials of health department of the entire district have been asked to be on vigil and report to the district administration in case they come across any person showing H1N1 symptoms.
