Flu may not hit Dasara celebrations

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday after according traditional welcome to elephants at Mysore palace, Karandlaje, who is also the district in-charge minister said that it is being planned to subject foreign tourists and Non-Resident Indians to clinical examination before they enter the City during Dasara.”As of now, not a single case of the A(H1N1) influenza has been reported from any part of the district. The district administration and Health Department have taken adequate precautionary measures and the situation is under control. There is no reason for people to panic,” she said.

The minister said that the district has adequate stock of masks and medicines to treat the patients. Sufficient beds have been reserved at various hospitals to treat the patients. Officials of health department of the entire district have been asked to be on vigil and report to the district administration in case they come across any person showing H1N1 symptoms.
