Kashimji was shot dead on April 9, 2009 and his wife, Nusrath Jahan had petitioned the High Court seeking a CBI inquiry alleging that the police had failed to collect evidences. The single judge had allowed the petition. <br /><br />The State government, which went in appeal, had claimed that the probe by the police was impartial.<br /></p>
