2 arrested for threatening police

Guttappanahal Gangadhar and B K Manjunath are the arrested.

According to police, the duo had come to the police station on Monday and had forced the police to give donation to their state-level convention of the Dalit Sangharsh Samiti and also to provide vehicle for the purpose.

Judicial custody

When sub-inspector M Krishnappa asked the duo to wait till the arrival of the circle inspector of police, they used foul language and threatened to stage a protest. They will be in judicial custody till October 31, police said.

 It was alleded that the accused belonged to Dalit Sangharsh Samithi. But DSS taluk unit convener Narasimhappa has clarified that Gangadhar and Manjuath are not the members of the Dalit Sangharsh Samiti.
