Medappa said that the price of essential commodities like rice, pulses, sugar etc are soaring high day after day but government has failed to take any step to control price hike.
Sunil Subramani said that centre did a major anti-people move by hiking the price of petrol and diesel.
He said that centre has lost the moral right to be in power and hence President must immediately ask UPA to step down from power.Medappa said that this was a symbolic protest staged by BJP, but it would stage a nation wide stir if centre fails to control prices of essential commodities. Protesters handed over a memorandum to DC Ashwathnarayana Gowda.
ZP Standing Committee for Education Manu Muthappa, Town Municipal Council President P D Ponnappa, Vice-President Latha Bangera, MUDA President A K Palaksha and others were present.
