SP Dr Y S Ravikumar informed Deccan Herald that Hassanabba Byari is arrested for keeping about 40 cattle in his slaughter house for the purpose of selling meat on the occasion of Bakrid festival. The three other accused in the case are absconding, he added.
Yasin, Manju and Rahim are absconding.
A case is registered under Cow Slaughter Act in Shirva police station.
