Three leopard cubs found in cane field

Labourers who were harvesting sugarcane in the field of Ullagaddi Malleshappa found the three cubs. Taken aback, the labourers soon alerted the forest department officials.

On receiving the information, the forest department officials rescued the cubs and took them to a veterinary hospital for a check up. The rescued cubs will be sent to the Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens in Mysore, said Forest Range Officer Mohan.

A cage has been set up in the Duggavati region to trap the leopard following complaints from residents, said officials in the forest department.
