Now the National Infomatics Centre has developed system to facilitate online application submission. If the system comes into existence then the applicants need not come to the office to apply for the card, said Gurumurthy addressing a news conference.
“If the required documents are given and applications are submitted online then the
applicant will get a message with regard to acceptance or rejection of the application on his mobile,” he said adding that in Chikmagalur taluk there are several cases of one family possessing more than one ration card.
“The number of such duplication case is estimated to be about 11,713,” he said informing that inspection of these cards will be taken up soon.
