Bhopal unit of the country’s premiere investigating agency has opened Facebook account on trial basis to seek people’s help in solving various cases.

“Our Bhopal unit is on Facebook. People can share any information which they feel can be of some use to the CBI. We will assess people's response through this and if it is found encouraging we may plan the same for other units too,” a senior CBI official said.
CBI hopes to get vital information through Facebook to crack the murder case of Bhopal-based Right to Information (RTI) activist Shehla Masood.

“We are getting some help related to Shehla's case. Though it has been transferred to our Delhi unit, we feel the information may be of some use. The information, after cross verification, will be passed on to the officials probing the case,” said another official.
The investigating agency hopes information related to different cases from internet users will  help them solve many cases.

CBI’s Delhi-based Special Crime Unit is probing the murder of Shehla Masood, who was shot dead outside her residence in the posh Koh-e-Fiza locality in Bhopal on August 16.
The CBI, which is still groping in the dark,  has announced a reward of Rs five  lakh to anyone providing vital clues on the  murder.
