Speaking after inaugurating a programme organised by Udupi Press Photographers’ Association (UPPA) to celebrate the “World Photography Day” here on Wednesday, he said that sensationalisation of news is the basic priority that is commonly observed. People are misguided and are driven far from the authenticity of the facts. Informative and circumstantial journalism clubbed with timeliness is the need of the hour, he observed.

A slide show “Uniquely Singapore” by photojournalist Astro Mohan and photography expo of UPPA members was inaugurated by Chaayachandana Editor Udupi Ratnakar on the occasion.

Udupi RTO H N Ramesh, UPPA President Hemanth Padubidri, Secretary Janardhan Kodavoor and others were present.
