Daniel Hechter, the French lifestyle brand, believes in updating its fashion quotient every season. And the makers of the brand say that it is the emphasis on quality and an urge to innovate that keeps the brand ahead of its competitors. 

Play of cut and colour 

Daniel Hechter’ is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and its latest ‘Spring Summer Collection’ is knit around the elements of the anniversary collection. 

It combines European tradition with a sure sense of style and elegance offering a cosmopolitan flair with a creative twist. 

The brand has just introduced its ‘Anniversary Collection’ – the season’s highlight. There is also the ‘The Iconic Range’, ‘The Classic with a Twist’, ‘The Sporty Elegance Collection’ and ‘The La Premiere Collection’. 

Each collection has an identity of its own and is distinct in its cut, colour and style.  

Sujatha R Nandan, chief brand manager, Daniel Hechter, highlights as to what makes the brand popular. 

Sujatha points out most of the designs originate from Paris, the hub of fashion. And this, she believes, provides that extra edge to the clothes. 

“The designs that originate from the studios in Paris are manufactured at the best facilities in India providing the customer the best of both worlds at affordable Indian prices,” explains Sujatha. 

What the brand offers in its latest line is a capsule collection revolving around the anniversary year. 

The ‘Anniversary Collection’ is inspired by Vasarely’s paintings and highlights the three colours red, blue and white which are the colours of the French flag and connects with the 50-year legacy of the brand and highlights the various signs of recognition of the brand. 

‘The Classic with a Twist’ reflects the formal nature of the brand. “The collection is offered with a twist in form of colours and styles  making the classic garments less dramatic,” adds Sujatha. 

‘The Sporty Elegance’ is a casual wear. ‘The La Premier Collection’ has an exclusive range of shirts with a European twist. 

Sujatha reiterates that in addition to an exciting range of clothing, there are silk ties, leather belts, cufflinks, socks and stoles. 

“These accessories add to the lifestyle look of the brand. Stoles are the new ties. So suits with stoles, rather than ties, can make the entire attire less dramatic,” Sujatha sums up.
