<p> Speaking at a roundtable discussion, Dr Sriprakash feared that students from rural areas would be at a disadvantage in competing with their peers who had studied in schools affiliated to CBSE and ICSE Boards. <br /><br />Sriprakash said the subject ought to be discussed in detail before arriving at a decision and that students too should be involved in the process.<br /><br />Dr Ramanand Shetty, former VC, RGUHS, supported the NEET but said issues such as seat-sharing ratio and counselling should be settled well in advance.<br /><br />Raghunandan, ABVP South India organising secretary, said that most medical colleges in South India were opposing the NEET and the opposition cannot be ignored. <br /><br />He said that a delegation of the ABVP would meet Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda to discuss the issue with him.</p>
