Man killed in elephant attack

It is learnt that he died after an elephant attacked him. Ganesha was a habitual hunter.
Nisar, a forest watcher,  found the body. Local residents suspect that he must have been killed on Monday evening. Footprints of an elephant near the body confirms that he was attacked by a wild jumbo.

A broken double barrel gun was also found near the body.

Sources in the Forest Department said, Ganesh was accused of in illegal transportation of teakwood sometime ago. He was absconding ever since. Deputy Conservator of Forests Keshav, Range Forest Officer M S Chinnappa and Forest Guard M A Arjun visited the spot.
