The members of the special team – Sodhi, Shivannagoudar and several others – have filed the contempt notice alleging that the State government has failed to act on a High Court order.
The court had directed the State to identify land for the members and allot sites to them within three months. It had further directed that the STF personnel be compensated with sites at Rs 2,100 per sq mt against the State government order of allotting 30x40 sq ft site at the rate of Rs 210 per sq feet.
It was also held that in case the sites are not available and the members reject the compensation, they can purchase the site from the local bodies when they form layouts.
