SP workers create ruckus at Cong rally

A handful of SP workers, who had slipped into the space reserved for mediapersons, suddenly rushed towards the stage waving black flags and shouting slogans when Rahul was about to finish his speech. They were said to be protesting against Rahul’s “begging” remark at the recently held Phulpur Congress rally.

Congress workers in turn thrashed the SP activists before they were whisked away from the venue by the police.

“There was a near stampede as Congress workers pounced on the SP activists,” eye witnesses said.  Rahul had again decried the Mayawati regime for wasting Central funds in erecting statues and constructing parks.
