Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, he said the outcome of the byelections will not have any impact on the stability of the government. However, he admitted that the results will be in a way referendum to the BJP government’s performance.

He further said that even if the BJP managed to win a single seat, it would be a bonus for the party. The results of byelections  were more crucial for the Congress and the JD(S). The election results would also be a referendum to the performance of the Congress-led government in the Centre.

On initiating disciplinary action against MLA Renukacharya who has been issued show-cause notice, he said that the issue would be discussed at the BJP’s core committee meeting on August 29.   Also the reports regarding the performance of ministers would be deliberated in the meet.

     State BJP likes to differentiate between dissatisfaction among the legislators and the indiscipline. “As State unit chief I  am ready to hold talks with the legislators who have grouses,” Gowda said.
