Sriramulu supporters stop Siddu

More than 50 men, led by Bellary Mahanagara Palike member Toorpu Yallappa did not allow the Congress leaders to enter the village and an altercation broke out between  the two groups.

Siddaramaiah complained to the election officer over the phone. The scuffle affected the movement of vehicles on National Highway 63 for a while. Deputy Commissioner A A Biswas and DSP Chandragupta, who rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control, told Siddaramaiah to file a complaint against the supporters of Sriramulu. The police arrested Yallappa and Deenaiah in the evening and both were remanded in  judicial custody till November 30.

In a counter-complaint, Yallappa has accused Siddaramaiah of abusing him by caste.
