JOIN USSpeaking after inaugurating students union of Coorg Institute of Technology, Ponnampet, on Wednesday, he said that education helps in changing the mind of the students and also acts as a direction to the change in technology.
“India is marching aheadto becoming a super power in the worl. In this scenario, technical students have a greater role to play for the development of the country and lead it ahead,” he added.
Students who secured good marks were felicitated. They include Madan (I), Ashwini (II) of IV semester, K A Shobha (I), Saraswathi (II) of second semester, Akshatha Nagaraj (I) and R Maya (II) of second semester.
The students who have been elected to students’ union include Madan, Gunaga, D Ashwini, K P Shobha, Nandakishor, G Raghavendra, Akshatha Nagaraj, Harshitha Madaiah.
Principal K S Srinivasan, Telecommunication department head P C Kavitha among others were present at the programme.
