The petitioner had moved the High Court seeking a stay on the award of tender as it violates Rule 17 of Transparency Act, which makes 60 days time mandatory for the process.
Though the eligibility period for participation in the tender process is three years, the Palike has relaxed it to one year and many parties close to the corporators have been awarded tenders, he said.
The Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen and Justice A S Bopanna refused to stay the procedure, but ordered notice to the Palike and the Urban Development Department.
