Bidari has plans aplenty for State police

An IPS officer of the 1978 batch, Bidari was the Director General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, before taking up the new assignment.

“With the help of one lakh police personnel, I will work day and night to make the State safe and secure for people,” Bidari said after assuming charge.

Bidari said he had drafted a detailed action plan for implementation before his retirement. Strengthening police stations in Bidadi, Nelamangala, Tavarekere, Sarjapur, Bannerghatta, Anekal, Hebbugodi and Attibele, publication of gradation list of officers of all ranks by March 31 next year, promoting subordinate rank officers within 24 hours after a post falls vacant, monthly review of law and order at range-level and commissionerate level, monthly review of performance of anti-naxal force, extension of Arogya Bhagya scheme to the parents of all policemen are among the long list of his plans.

Bidari, born in 1952 at Galagali of Bilagi taluk, Bagalkot district, joined Posts and Telegraphs Department after completing PUC.

He obtained BA as an external candidate, cleared KAS exam and joined as probationary assistant commissioner in 1977. He was selected as IPS officer in 1978.
