<p>Speaking to the media persons here on Wednesday, Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy President M B Abdul Rahaman informed that the Sammelana which is organsed after a long gap of 13 years, will showcase the rich language, culture and tradition of Beary community. Social worker Harekala Hajabba will inaugurate the Sammelana by releasing five books on December 10 at 10 am. <br /><br />The books which will be released are ‘Perime,’ ‘The Bearys of Tulunadu,’ ‘Tulunadina Bearygalu’ (translated version), ‘The Beary Language’ and ‘Beary Bhashe’ (translated version). The inaugural programme will be followed by a literary meet on ‘Beary Badukina Thallanagalu’. Umar T K will preside over the session, Atthur Cheyyabba will put forth his views and Suvarna News Editor Hamid Palya will master the ceremony, said the Academy President.<br /><br />Ayesha U K Ullal will preside over the poetry meet in the evening. Poets including Ibrahim Thannirbavi, U A Khasim Ullal, Mohammad Sharif Nirmunje and others will participate. On the same day evening, Beary comedy drama ‘Mahasabhe’ directed by Hussain Katipalla will be staged.Further, informing about the programmes scheduled for the second day, Abdul Rahaman said the day two will start with a session on ‘Sahithigalondige Mukhamukhi’. Litterateur Vaidehi will preside over the session. Famed litterateurs namely Dr Na D’Souza, Dr Jayanth Kaikini and national award winning film director P Sheshadri will take part.<br /><br />‘Kannada Janapada Haadugalu’ programme will be organised by Appagere Thimmaraju, in the afternoon. Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda and Union Minister for Corporate Affairs Dr M Veerappa Moily will be the special invitees to the valedictory programme which will be held in the evening at 3.30 pm. Former Education Minister B A Moidin will preside over the programme. Eight achievers from the Beary community will be felicitated on the occasion, he informed.<br /><br />A book exhibition and food fair will mark the event. Harekala Hajabba will be awarded with ‘Akkarada Avadhootha’ award.<br /></p>
