Martyrs remembered

Speaking after taking part in the Flag Day organised by district administration and district sainik welfare and rehabilitation department here on Wednesday, he said: “Kodagu has a unique place in military of India. The whole society should remember those martyrs who have laid down their lives for the country.”

NCC cadets, children from Sainik School, ex servicemen and others participated. Deputy commissioner Dr N V Prasad, superintendent of police Manjunath Annigeri, additional deputy commissioner K M Chandre Gowda, Air Marshal Nanda Cariappa, Col Muthanna, Major Nanjappa and others offered floral tributes on the occasion.
