Kempaiah seeks VRS

According to sources, there was a heated argument between Kempaiah and DGP Ajai Kumar Singh recently at a meeting of senior police officers. Thus is said to be one of the main reasons for his decision.

Kempaiah is currently Additional Director General of Police of Internal Security, a newly set-up division. Kempaiah had handled several sensational cases, including that of tracing the one-eyed jack Sivarasan and his associates in Konanakunte, Bangalore.

He is an IPS officer of 1981 batch and is due for retirement in 2011.
