Oppn candidate declares assets

Anand, who filed his nominations on Monday, has declared that his total income is Rs 4,45,493. But he owns a BMW and Toyota Innova and 500 gram gold worth Rs 14 lakh and 300 gram gold worth Rs 8.04 lakh, apart from 100 gram of silver.

Anand owns agricultural lands in Laxmeswara (3.05 acres worth Rs 15 lakh and 16.11 acres worth Rs 32 lakh), Shiggaon (2.15 acres worth Rs 10 lakh) and Ambavadi (1.22 acres worth Rs 20 lakh). He owns an apartment jointly with his wife in Magadi, which is valued at Rs 80 lakh.

Chief Minister Gowda on the other hand has assets worth Rs 3.16 crore. He has liabilities of Rs 1.69 crore.

Gowda owns five houses, 22 acres of agricultural land and a residential site measuring 50x80 ft valued at Rs 20 lakh in HSR Layout, Bangalore, where he is constructing a house worth Rs 66 lakh.

Interestingly, Gowda has not mentioned about owning a revolver and a gun, which he had listed in the September 2 affidavit. He owns a Scorpio worth Rs 12.85 lakh. Gowda has availed loans from Corporation Bank, the Federal Bank Ltd and the Karnataka Cooperative Apex Bank, while his wife Datty  has assets worth Rs 1.5 crore. Gowda’s son D S Karthick owns a Skoda Fabia car worth Rs 6 lakh.
