The man has just signed a movie. Surya Productions and Amit Behl along with wife and producer Vaibhavi shot the mahurat shot of their new venture on Sunday afternoon, The Under-trial, a movie based on a man accused of being a terrorist, post bombings in the city.
The event was held at Filmistan in Goregaon. While Jackie Shroff was keenly expected by the media, he brought a little disappointment owing to unavoidable circumstances and being held up out of town. Amit Behl and Vaibhavi looked busy co-ordinating on the sets while the director Shekhar S Jha ensured everything proceeded smoothly.
Parveen also made an entry minus wife Preeti Jhangiani, who is speculated to be a part of the movie too. Yash Pal Sharma was all smiles and pepped about the mahurat shot and spoke at length about his excitement of being part of the movie. The mahurat shot was an act behind the jail bars involving Parveen and Yash Pal.
Making his debut in Dillagi in 1999,  Parveen has gone on to play pivotal roles in offbeat yet acclaimed movies like Khosla Ka Ghosla and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara in his decade-long career. Only time will tell if The Under-trial proves to be yet another feather in his cap. Apart from The Under-trial, Parveen has a host of releases lined up this year, which includes films like The World Unseen, Hot, Flat and My Name Is Khan.

Raima plays deadly games

Leena Yadav’s Teen Patti sure seems to be attracting lots of attention with names like Big B, Ben Kingsley on the project. We came to know that the beautiful and intelligent Raima Sen is also part of this film which is inspired by the Hollywood flick 21. Raima will be seen opposite southern heartthrob Madhavan. Will this pair make the screen scorch is now the question on everyone's lips?
On reports that Raima was allegedly ousted from Jagmohan Mundra’s Apartment, the actress replies, “Yes the film was offered to me. But I never agreed to do the role in the first place. So where does the question arise of me being out of the film?” she muses. Well what can we say, looks like Jagmohan Mundra’s loss turns out to be Leena Yadav's gain.

No Hrithik clone for Gowarikar

Director Ashutosh Gowarikar, whose next venture is What’s Your Rashi? starring Harman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra, is being extra careful to prevent any comparisons between his lead actor Harman Baweja and Hrithik Roshan. Ever since his debut film Love Story 2050, Harman has been criticised for aping Hrithik’s dance steps and moves. However, Ashutosh is trying to break the mould by presenting Harman in a totally different look in What’s Your Rashi?

An out-and-out sports lover

Madhavan has a soft corner for all sports specially basketball. Currently busy shooting for Three Idiots and Teen Patti, the star practices this game daily as he feels it help him stay fit and healthy. Since Madhavan is tall, he fits the game perfectly. He used to play a lot of it during his school days. Madhavan is also a great fan of cricket and keeping a close eye on the IPL whenever he gets the opportunity. He is supporting the Chennai Superkings. Madhavan also like flying his planes in free time.
Even on the movie front, the actor seems to be going places. The movie 13B proved to be a real success for him as he got a lot of appreciation for his work and his acting skills. Madhavan has lot to look this year as he has around four to five release lined up.

For old time’s sake, Lata Mangeshkar, at the age of 80, has renewed ties with the family of her favourite Mukesh bhaiya, by agreeing to sing Ae Maalik Tere Bandhe Hum, for the late singer’s grandson, Neil Nitin Mukesh. The song will be recorded for Madhur Bhandarkar's film Jail. The nightingale sang Ae Maalik Tere Bandhe Hum in V Shantaram’s Do Aankhen Barah Haath, 52 years ago. From acting to storytelling

Vidya Balan loves children. A friend said, “Vidya feels that toddlers can really put a smile on your lips and brighten up your face.” So, when the actress got a chance to lend her voice to Karadi Tales, she immediately grabbed it.
