I was scared to do stunts myself in 'Don 2': Shah Rukh Khan

"I was very scared to do the stunts. I did have a body double but there are certain stunts that I did myself. I had to jump from a building and when I was standing on the edge I wondered, 'why am I doing this and not some romantic film?'.

"But Farhan (Akhtar) helped me a lot. He has skydived some 99 times and that is amazing. In the end it was fun," said Shah Rukh, who was in the Capital last night to promote the film.

SRK had international stunt director Wolfgang Stegemann of the 'Inglourious Basterds' and 'Valkyrie' fame choreograph the action sequences for him in this film.
'Don 2' is packed with guns and girls but SRK says he only makes those films which his children can understand and enjoy.

The 46-year-old actor, who is all set to reprise the role of the notorious criminal in the Farhan Akhtar-directed film, says he makes sure that he does not do films which may have a negative impact on children.

"I do films that my children can watch and understand. I have not used foul language that may have ill-effects on children. Children nowadays are very smart, because they have access to the internet and all kinds of programmes on TV. So it is important for me as a father to choose my films responsibly. "Don 2 is an action film and an entertaining one. I don't think after watching this every child would want to be a Don. I don't think children will imitate," Shah Rukh said.

The actor also said that he is nothing like the character he plays in the film but added that his director Farhan is the Don in real life.

"Farhan is the Don in real life. He is full of Donism. During the shoot, all of a sudden he would break into the Don mode. He would speak and behave just like Don would. And it is evident from the many dialogues in the film. They are very 70's but it has been re-moulded. It is all because of the inner Don in Farhan."

The multiple Filmfare winning actor also said that he has played negative characters in his films but in real life he tries to be on the right side all along.

"I have always believed in being on the right side of life. I do make a lot of mistakes, but all my mistakes have taught me a lot. I don't think I have ever committed a major mistake in life."

'Don 2: The Chase Continues' also stars Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, Lara Dutta, Kunal Kapoor and will hit theatres on December 23.
