Truck driver held with charas worth Rs 2 lakh

Mohammad, a driver in Mumbai, and had bought the Charas from his driver-friend Syed Ali and came to Bangalore to sell it for profit. Police arrested him near MS Ramaiah College where he was trying to sell the banned substance. The sleuths handed him over to the Sanjaynagar police.

Held for theft

The Kalasipalya police arrested a driver and a delivery boy of a courier company in a theft case and recovered 10 phone handsets. The accused are Nagendra of Madanayakanahalli in Nelamangala taluk and Manjunath of Byadarahalli, Magadi Main Road.

Intex Technology India Pvt Ltd, located at SGN Layout,  had sent a parcel of sixty two boxes, each containing 10  handsets,  on August 10. 

The duo admitted that they took out one box to sell the handsets, said the police.
