Unauthorised absence will prove costly to this staffer

Regional Commissioner Shambhu Dayal Meena visited the Tahsildar’s office in Kolar on Tuesday and inspected the revision of voters’ list.

He also visited the survey section and inspected the working of the staff. Finding that one employee, Ravi, was absent unofficially, Meena questioned the Tahsildar Dr Dayanand on the measures taken against Ravi.

The Tahsildar said the employee had not responded to two notices. He added that a request would be sent to the Deputy Commissioner recommending suspension of the
employee.

Complaints

There was also, during the visit, an incident of complaint against the working style of the Tahsildar’s office by the public.

The people told the RC that records in the office were changed. They were also not available when required. The surveyors are not working properly, the complainants added.

The Regional Commissioner promised to instruct the Deputy Commissioner Manoj Kumar Meena to investigate the matter and take action within 15 days.

Deputy Commissioner Manoj Kumar Meena and Assistant Commissioner R S Peddappaiah were also present during the visit.
